Imagine spending decades exploring the world, navigating the oceans, scaling mountains, experiencing diverse cultures, and savoring global cuisine. For some, this might sound like an unattainable dream, but it’s a thrilling reality for Kissy Gordon. A seasoned Tour Plan International travel advisor, Kissy has turned her passion for travel into a fulfilling career.
In an exclusive conversation, Kissy shares some of her exciting travel experiences and offers insights on the benefits of group travel. As a master of diverse travel experiences—ranging from foodie adventures to relaxation retreats—Kissy embodies the spirit of a true global explorer.
One way to get to know Kissy is to ask her five questions about her travels:
Tour Plan International: Tell us about one of your favorite excursions or side trips you have taken when traveling.
Kissy: “That’s a tough one, as every journey has its unique charm. However, one trip stands out—our stop in Dubai following a tour in Nepal. The contrast was fascinating—rural Nepal with its untouched landscapes and ancient culture, and then Dubai with its ultra-modern skyline and lavish lifestyle. The blend was a remarkable cultural experience.”
“Another memorable excursion was riding camels by the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. The awe-inspiring ancient architecture, the sweeping desert, and the timeless sense of history are something that I’ll cherish forever.”
TPI: Do you enjoy foodie travel, adventure, or relaxation travel?
Kissy: “As a travel lover, I relish all forms of travel. For foodie travel, nothing beats a food walk in Reykjavik, Iceland. The local cuisine, fresh ingredients, and unique culinary traditions delight any food lover.”
“For adventure, it’s hard to top seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland, scuba diving in Tahiti, and going on a safari in Kenya. Each offers its unique thrill, from the celestial ballet of the Northern Lights to the rich biodiversity of Tahiti’s reefs and Kenya’s plains.”
“Regarding relaxation, Platis Gialos Beach in Mykonos, Greece, holds a special place in my heart. The sun, sand, and serenity make it an ideal spot to unwind and rejuvenate.”
TPI: What benefits do traveling with a Tour Plan International small group have?
Kissy: “Traveling with a Tour Plan International small group takes away the hassles of planning and handling travel details. This allows you to fully immerse yourself in the experience and savor each moment.”
“Additionally, traveling in small groups allows you to meet new people and make friends from around the US. It’s a shared experience that often leads to long-lasting friendships. Whether with family, friends, or new acquaintances you make on the trip, shared travel experiences have a special charm.”
TPI: What’s your favorite place to cruise?
Kissy: “Hands down, Tahiti on the Paul Gauguin Ship. Tahiti is breathtakingly beautiful, and its pristine, unspoiled nature makes it an absolute paradise. Cruising through Tahiti’s crystal-clear waters against lush mountains and spectacular sunsets is an unforgettable experience.”
