With an explorer’s heart, Barbara has traveled around the United States, parts of Canada, and several countries within Western Europe. Her love for exploration was sparked by her mother’s own globetrotting adventures, and fanned into flames when she embarked on a 6-week solo backpacking trip after college.
Barbara sees travel as one of life’s greatest teachers. It opens us up to new perspectives and cultures—whether it’s savoring local cuisine or walking through centuries-old landmarks. She believes each adventure offers an opportunity for connection and growth.
After 20 years in brand communications, where she successfully built and led multiple independent agencies, Barbara is pivoting to learn the travel industry. At Tour Plan, she’ll be helping with back-office logistics – ensuring our clients have everything in place for their adventures, supporting our advisors, and helping track down information as questions pop up.
Barbara is based in Richmond, VA, with her husband, Paul, and two active, sports-loving tweens. When she’s not exploring new destinations, you’ll find her cooking, hiking with their two Siberian Huskies, cheering from the soccer sidelines, or writing.
Travel Tip: Always travel with a soft scarf. It’s a versatile essential—scarf, blanket, pillow—you name it.
